Theater for Homeschooled Artistic Teens
Returning for a second season, T.H.A.T. will begin January 15, 2008. All area homeschool teens are invited to participate in this nine-session workshop that culminates in a performance for the entire community. A wide range of theater skills will be covered as we prepare for the final performance. The workshop, again led by Connie Beard, will be held at Vale Community Church, 1304 Morrissey, Bloomington. Registration deadline is January 4. Download the registration form and return it to the address given. A fee of $20 per participant will be required to cover costs. Participants must be at least 13 years old and willing to make a serious commitment to the rehearsal schedule to be considered for an acting part or to be a team leader. Please email Connie for more information. Director's Bio Connie Beard, with a Theater and Communications degree, has been
teaching, directing and creating for over 30 years. Teaching drama in
public high schools and working with community theater is just part of
her background. She currently teaches drama at the Homeschool
Enrichment Group and is the Drama Director for Vale Community Church.
Recently her original production "Freedom's Gift" debuted in
Bloomington. Connie is married to an electronics engineer, David, who
works at State Farm Insurance in Bloomington. They have two adult
children and homeschool their 12 year-old daughter. Connie is also a
licensed realtor and a speaker for Stonecroft Ministries across the
Midwest.
