Homeschool Climbing Class
Upper Limits Rock Gym & Pro Shop in Bloomington is a gym whose mission is "to provide a professional, high quality climbing gym that exceeds standards set by the industry, thus providing an enjoyable environment for the community to experience climbing." Upper Limits is owned by a homeschooling family who wants to offer a special program just for other homeschool families to get some exercise and share some fun together.
Designed after their Rock Gym 101 class, parents and students will learn to belay, use equipment, and tie all the important safety knots.
Visit http://www.upperlimits.com/bloomington/inclasses.html for details about what will happen at the class. Anyone under 18 will have to have a signed waiver to participate; you can download that at the website or take care of it at the gym before the class.
If you've never climbed, this is a great new experience!
They are extending some fantastic prices for this class: parents or students age 11 and up are $15, and kids age 10 and under are $10. Any experienced climbers are welcome to come free climb during the class for only $10. These prices include the harness and belay device rental (a $6 savings)! If you want to rent climbing shoes, which are optional, you can do that for $2.
Classes will be offered on 3 separate dates February 21, March 6 and March 20 from 1:00p.m. - 3:00p.m. Space is limited, so reservations are required. Please call 829-8255 and ask for Lindsay if you have any questions or to reserve your spot.
