Music and Dancing The CAHSA Homeschool Formal Prom is designed to be an evening specifically for teens. This means the music and dancing may be different from what some parents find enjoyable; however, this event is to be a wholesome opportunity for our young people to interact. Our DJ for the evening will be a homeschool graduate, and all music will be approved by the committee. Guided and line dancing may occur, as will open dancing and slow dancing. Chaperones will intercede any juking, freaking or other inappropriate dancing to help make the night more enjoyable for all those attending. If you are uncomfortable with your dancing skills, don't let that stop you from joining in the fun. There will be plenty of guided dances designed just for you! If you are interested in a possible P.E. credit, you may want to consider Heartland Community College's Community Education dance classes available in February. Music requests may be made in advance by emailing your suggestions to the committee. Please put "Song Request" in the subject line. Photography A photographer will be on hand to snap portraits and candid photos. All photos will be uploaded to snapfish.com. All who attend will receive an email with a password to the group's photos and may purchase what they choose. Of course, you are more than welcome to bring your own camera to the event. Senior Recognition At the end of the evening we plan to recognize all graduating Seniors. Please be sure to indicate 2008 as your graduation year on your registration form if you want to be included. Door Prizes The Committee is seeking sponsors to help enhance the activities of the evening. One factor in particular would be door prizes. We'll be able to plan this part of the evening better as sponsors and donors step forward. If you have a suggestion of a business or individual we should contact, please email the name, address and phone number to the Committee. |
