Like all educators, homeschoolers need to know they are appreciated once in a while. Below is a growing list of local and online businesses that offer special discounts for home educators. If you know of an educator discount or student reward program either online or in our area, email the name of the business, discount info and URL if available.
| The Barnes and Noble and Borders stores in Bloomington will issue an "Educator's Card" if you present something
identifying you as a home educator. The discount can only be applied to books used in the "classroom." They each
have special events in the fall for teachers. Ask for details at Customer Service. The BN link above is to a pdf of their

Pro Putt Family Fun Center
Pro Putt has graciously extended their "field trip" rates ($5) during school hours on a regular school day to any
homeschoolers that notify them at least 2 days in advance of their visit to the Family Fun Center.
