Taekwondo

Taekwondo is a modern martial art which originated in Korea. Translated, taekwondo means a method of defending oneself with the hands and feet. Beyond self defense skills, this form of martial arts can provide great benefit to children including improved physical fitness, focus, coordination and self-confidence. Two local organizations offer taekwondo to youth in the area. Please contact them or visit their websites to learn more about the classes they offer.

Kim's Taekwondo

Located in Landmark Mall in Normal (on College near Kroger), Kim's Taekwondo has been in the Bloomington-Normal area for over 25 years. Taekwondo is a great activity for students that are homeschooled - and their adult family members. All are welcome! Morning classes are currently offered for homeschooling families. A free trial lesson is available as well. For more information about Chang Kim or his classes, contact him by e-mail or at (309) 888-9902.

Victory Academy

Although Victory Academy has offered homeschool taekwondo in the past, no homeschool taekwondo classes are currently being offered. Victory is located near the Central Illinois Regional Airport. Please visit their website or call Vicki at 309-662-4927 for more information.
